Miley Cyrus and Promises, Promises

We had a busy day today! Isa and I woke up at 4:30 this morning and caught a subway down to Central Park. We arrived just before 6am and took our place in line to see Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) put on a free show for Good Morning America. There were more than 1000 people in front of us!! How these kids convinced their parents to wake up that early and take them to this show I'll never know. I don't think I could have promised anything to my mom to get her to wake up before dawn and take me to a concert. But we all fit into the Rumsey Ballfield where the SummerStage is at (with ease! I was surprised how many people you can fit in there).

The show was a lot of fun. Miley sang a few of her songs and then Bret Michaels came out and played "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" with her. Apparently Miley covers the song on her new album, but the Poison lead singer was in town so they thought a duet would be fun. And it was.

I love the sea of cameras. :)
Miley sang "Party in the USA," "Can't be Tamed," "Robot," and "The Climb."

After the show, we ran a few errands and then went back home to sleep for a few hours. When we woke up, we ate something and got dressed to head back down to the City again to see Promises, Promises with Sean Hayes (Jack from "Will and Grace") and Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda from the original "Wicked" on Broadway). They were great and it was so great to see them live (and really, that's the only reason we got the tickets) but the show was kinda boring. Oh well.
